Abstract
La vita di Alan Turing è stata fino a oggi avvolta dal mistero. Autore, nel 1936, del manifesto del nuovo ordine tecnologico, il matematico inglese spiegò la natura e i limiti teorici delle macchine logiche prima che fosse costruito un solo computer.

Ma fu anche uno di coloro che durante la Seconda guerra mondiale avevano decifrato i codici della macchina crittografica tedesca ed era a conoscenza d'importanti informazioni riguardanti la sicurezza nazionale. Quando fu trovato morto, avvelenato dal cianuro, nessuno fece indagini, trattandosi di un caso evidente di suicidio. Otre all'itinerario scientifico dell'inventore del computer, questa biografia è anche una spy story che fa emergere particolari sconosciuti sulla vicenda.
